Monarch Hydraulics Installs New Bokö Duomat CNC
Fine Grinding Machine
Purchase idles three surface grinders and one mill.
Grand Rapids, Michigan- Monarch Hydraulics, a leading
manufacturer of hydraulic systems and components, has completed installation of a new Duomat Fine Grinding machine purchased to finish
pump and valve components. This machine, a Bokö Duomat model ZL800 Fine Grinding Machine,
produces the close tolerance flatness and parallelism Monarch needs helps
eliminate lapping which is too slow a process for their increasing production
requirements. Fine grinding with the Bokö Duomat machines creates size, flatness and
parallelism tolerances usually associated with lapping but with much quicker cycle times. Monarch
has realized production rates across a family of parts in excess of 400 pieces per hour.
Bokö acquired the Hahn & Kolb Duomat product lines in 1993 and markets these
machines in the United States through Bokö Services Group, Inc., formerly known as Bokö
USA, Inc. their wholly owned sales and service office in Rockford, Illinois. Bokö built
the Duomat product line for Hahn & Kolb for over 50 years.
